Transforming Wideband into the Grid Computing Center (GCC)

The pictures at the links below show the transformation of the building formerly known as Wideband into the Grid Computing Center. The pictures were taken at approximately one week intervals. Upon completion, the building was named the Grid Computing Center to recognize the extensive deployment within it of the Grid computing technology (Cf. the Open Science Grid). NOTE: ALL LINKS TO NON-THUMBNAIL PICTURES OPEN IN A NEW WINDOW.

As Wideband, the building served as the Experiment Counting Room for the fixed target xperiments, such as E687 and E831. During the conversion, the building had the working name of HDCF (for High Density Computing Facility) in recognition of the deployment of ~2,000 computers within its ~2,000 square feet.
